1952 - 2011
SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial service celebrating the life of Jim Edward Adams Jr.
of Shreveport, La will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at
Summer Grove Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Rod Masteller.
Jim went peacefully with the lord and back into his mother's arms on Saturday,
February 19, 2011. Jim was an honest, hard-working, and successful businessman.
He worked for many years in the paint business as a sales manager, most recently
for Tri-State Coatings. He was a selflessly devoted husband, father, and papaw.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Irma Jewel Strickland Adams. Left to
cherish his memory is his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Debra, and
their children Hether, Gary D., Jimmy, and Krystal, grandchildren Austin, Tyler,
Alannah, Abby, Addison Jewel, and Garrett, siblings Jack, Kevin, Steven, and
Debra, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and various loyal friends.

Denson
Lee Crews
A memorial service to celebrate
the life of Denson Lee Crews, 58, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December
23, 2010, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
prior to the service. Officiating will be Chaplain Betty Brocket of Hospice
Compassus.
Denson was born on May 19, 1952, in DeQueen, AR to the late John Edward and Lois
Pickett Crews and passed away on the morning of December 21, 2010, surrounded by
family and friends.
He followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a "railroad man" with KCS
Railroad, but later went into the scrap metal business and was employed as an
office manager. Denson had a passion for golf and was an excellent baseball
player, but caring for his mother was what he did best. His brother and sisters
will always be grateful for Denson's generous and unselfish love of their
mother.
Denson was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Warren and Bobby Crews; his
niece, Libby Crews; and his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife and
best friend, Susie Smith Crews; son, Dustin Crews; sisters, Francine Roberts and
husband, David, and Sammye Courtney and husband, Paul; brother, Johnny Crews;
and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Brandy Ratliff and
Betty Brocket of Hospice Compassus for all of their compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, 8660 Fern Ave.,
Suite 145, Shreveport, LA 71115.
